Journalism! as we knew it before the rise of social media! has suffered a terrible crisis. Among traditional media! the press has borne the brunt. I am deeply concerned about the loss of prestige and analytical capacity in media outlets that have been benchmarks in information! because they are more concerned with winning the battle for immediacy against Facebook! Twitter! etc.! even at the expense of quality. I also observe an excessive focus on content of dubious journalistic interest that represents an easy hook in this new context.
