A good call to action has the following ingredients:

 

1. Benefits for the interested party to take action. (“Download the guide”)

2. A clearly defined path for the interested party to take action. (“Write to hello@…”)

3. Minimizes risks and fears about the activity (“non-binding”, “free”, “no obligations”, “only takes 5 minutes”)

If you don’t have a call to action, your content marketing will attract attention but not produce measurable results.

Because on every platform you compete against people who ONLY use that platform.
