Two years ago, Instagram and Facebook made it possible to hide the number of likes on your own posts and those of others in your timeline . Now, Meta is testing a new privacy feature on Instagram that lets you hide your own like activity from other users.

You can hide the likes you give from everyone, or make them visible only to your  telemarketing data‘best friends’ (a list you can create) or all of your followers.

If this feature makes it through testing, you’ll be able to shamelessly like Instagram posts without fear of your followers (or perhaps your employer) judging you for your secret fetish.  It seems that your old and new likes will still be visible to the creator of the post.
