Why is it so important

Can you imagine this same situation on  Facebook?  I don’t think it’s necessary, it must have already happened to you, it’s something common, or at least  it was. Now, with  Facebook Graph Search,  everything has changed!  The great Mark Zuckerberg got tired of the constant inferiority complex in front of Google, in everything related to search, to the point of making a radical move and attracting two of the main figures of his rival to his company.

In 2010, Lars Rasmussen was invited to be the Engineering Director of the project after having participated in the Google Maps and Google Wave projects, and in 2011, Tom Stocky was invited to be the Product Director, a position he also held at Google. These three minds together created Facebook  Graph Search.

What is  Facebook graph search ?

It is a social search tool, based on the tastes of the person and/or companies egypt mobile database that the user wants to find, a response that Zuckerberg’s team created to improve a weak point of the platform. Searching is not the main activity of the network, so many times, it was very difficult to find a person or company of interest.

Having your  own efficient search engine  is undoubtedly a way to gain an audience and autonomy. With this new tool you can create search criteria based on  keywords  that will not only help you find what you are looking for, but also, as always happens with  Face , will exceed your expectations.

How much does it cost and how do we activate it?

It doesn’t cost anything, it’s a free tool and accessible to everyone, the only “problem” is that you have to configure your  Facebook account  to English for it to be activated (but if you look closely, it’s a great incentive to learn some basic notions of that language). Once this is done, it’s ready to be used, you just have to type in your search criteria using the form:  liked by people who like  and then put in a criterion that interests you to complete it. For example:  liked by people who like  content marketing  . Give it a try why is it so important!

What is it for?

Obviously, its first utility is to find what the user is looking for. The north of all the internet giants is the ” user experience ” and with the strong reference we have from  Google , it was becoming difficult for  Face  to live with that.

Imagine, that frustration could turn into a gap for a competitive advantage for another company. Today everything has changed, because with this new search engine it is possible to cross-reference data and obtain better results than on Google, or at least presented in a better way and more appropriate to your objectives within the network.

Other utilities

Well, I couldn’t let this moment pass without talking about one of my favorite topics, the  Buyer  Persona, the great conceptual discovery of  content marketing  , the inspiring muse of all our strategies .  One thing goes hand in hand with the other, when defining criteria, we inevitably carry out segmentation work and define the traits and characteristics of a target audience.

If  Facebook ,  before having this search engine, was already a inbound marketing: integrations for hubspot software very good space to do business and look for a job, imagine now that this new feature has emerged. This tool is essential to work on understanding our audience. To use this search engine you must accumulate social search criteria.

Cross-referencing data is the way to go from the general to the specific, but when we refer to a Persona, we are talking about a concept that may seem contradictory, since we reduce a specific figure to increase the strength of our audience’s identification. It seems like an enigma but it is not, it is simply our   digital marketing universe , where anything can happen.

Looking for the Person

I already told you once that the Internet and digitalization changed deep beliefs that we had in all aspects, one of them was the concept of abundance, we lived in a material world where everything had an end and suddenly a virtual universe entered the market where goods do not take up space or end why is it so important.

According to Adam Smith, in his classical vision, the economy is the management of scarcity. The Internet destroyed this paradigm because in its universe objects do not exist and bytes are infinite. We can share music, images, texts, etc., without affecting the material world. This is more or less where the enigma of the person arises:  the less general, the more reach.

It is a type of thinking that arises from necessity, because although the virtual world is unlimited, our desires are very specific.
